Today I give you Morocco’s favorite Ramadan sweeties.
1.Shebekia! Halwa is a Moroccan sesame cookie which is shaped into a flower, fried and then coated with honey. This is not an easy one to make, but if you are up for the challenge check out the recipe here.
2. My favorite, mint lemonade! Cut up one lemon with the skin on it (into chunks). Put in a blender with a liter of water and a few mint leaves. Blend. Stain the mixture and add sugar and some mint to the pitcher for a garnish. Easy peesy and brilliant flavor!
